Hey, so you have found your way to my blog and I thank you for visiting. I found out about this event through my fraternity, and it is crazy to think that in 6 months I will be starting a 4,000 mile journey across the U.S. In order to make this happen I need to raise $5,000. The whole thing should take just over ten weeks. There are three different routes and I will be either departing from San Francisco or Seattle depending on the luck of the draw. The trip will be either 4000 or 4400 miles respectively. Please support me in any way you can, every little bit helps, and you can do it all online! Ask your family, friends, and relatives, for a tax deductible donation and help sponsor this great cause. Not to mention you'll be listed on my page as a sponsor for everyone to see. Wish me luck, and thanks in advance. **Be sure to check back here considering there will lots of updates once the trip gets underway, and hopefully links to tons of cool pictures from around the country. Over Winter Break, I was able to attend Pi Kappa Phi's Mid Year Leadership Conference and met with the majority of brothers who would be embarking on this journey with me. The whole weekend was a blast and I learned lots of cool skills such as how to deal with the media, event ideas, and how to effectively spread the message of Push America. We were able to stay an extra night and attend John Spence's Life 401 seminar. It was a 3 hour workshop where we were taught the skills and ideals to accomplishing our dreams. We explored what we really wanted out of life and then set goals to reach them. It completely changed the way I look at everyday life, and I learned things that will help me this summer, and as I prepare to enter a career. However, they also broke the news that we would need to have raised $1000 by February 15th, otherwise our team status would be "reevaluated." Thanks to the outpouring of support from friends, family, and community, I have been able to raise $1600!!! Not only does that secure my position on the Journey of Hope, but increases my chance for getting the route selection of my choice! I can't express my gratitude towards everyone who went out of their way, and above and beyond to donate.
Sincerely, Jerome Rogich
